Beginning Trumpet

Music is a great addition in anyone's life. CJ was a trumpet player in both concert and marching band from 5th through 11th grade, and had piano lessons for those years as well. Surprisingly, the intervening years of raising a family did leave a little time to practice. There is no claim to mastery, but the music foundation is solid, and she can get a new player started and ready for bigger gigs.

Music lessons are so very dependent on a student's willingness to practice, so individual results after 6 weeks of tutoring will vary greatly. Progress in music is dependant on practice, practice, practice. You know what you have to do!

Beginning Trumpet will cover:

• Basic player position
• Handling of the instrument
• Standard equipment needed
• Use of an exercise book to begin learning notes and technique
• Mastery of the C Major scale, including written notation and fingering
• Learning some familiar songs through all that!
